On the road yet again
I am visiting family in Poland since last Saturday. I’ll stay here until next Wedesday. In the mean time the best bet to contact me is via email.
On another note, yesterday I received confirmation that I’ll stay at Norra Trang during the coming schoolyear. This means that unlike last year I am living essentially next to the university. Can’t wait for it to start..

Well, the evacuation was cancelled..
Lets hope for them that this was not a drill, but a technical malfunction or a prank of a drunken guest. Back to sleep..
Firealarm at Chestnut goes off..
Something/Someone in the 17th floor triggered the fire alarm. The reception guy uses the intercom to broadcast a warning into each room. He tells us that an investigation of this incident is ongoing and we should be prepared to evacuate. All elevators are turned off and I have to go down 24 levels.
Showtime
Some of the talks were pretty interesting, others left me head-scratching. A comprehensive review of keyparts of a great number of things that went down yesterday at the ISMB is available via the ISMB2008 room @ FriendFeed.

Countdown
The first day in Toronto is coming to an end.
The day started with a rather dull (and long) journey from Austria to Canada. It was filled with a not working internet connection at Pearson Airport, a working internet connection in the bus that took me from the airport to my hotel and a semi-working internet connection here at the Chestnut Residence.
